Scam Description
On Facebook marketplace, and sending payment through Zelle, I bought an old camera from Noah Ward on June 14th. He assured me it would be in the mail by the close of the next business day. An entire week goes by and I still didn’t hear from him so to be nice I messaged him again only for him to use some excuse of not having a ride to the post office. Another week goes by without him being able to drop it off at a post office, so at this point I ask for my money back and he claims he overdrafted his account and needs the money. Meaning that this, and all the other things he has up on FB marketplace, are just low dollar scams to keep his finances afloat. At this point he removes the listing from Facebook marketplace, and I still have not gotten my money back. I am still waiting and it’s more than two weeks since he said he’d gotten paid, so I’m assuming it’s a scam. Since I have his full name and number via FB and zelle I figured I’d report him here and through my bank!
