Scam Description
This ‘offer’ was for the complete Beatles Vinyl record collection for only $49, advertised on facebook with a link provided for ordering. After ordering 2 sets and giving credit card payment, I received an email asking for verification with a screenshot of the front and back of the credit card(s) used for purchase (with all but the last 4 digits blacked out), and a screenshot of the credit card account proof-of-payment/charge. Although I thought this strange, I provided the information. The ‘contact person’ handling this is ‘Anna’, writing from the email service@pupamigos.com. The order numbers are: ************* and *************.
Being more convinced as time went on without receiving the items, I saw on facebook a similar advertisement for the Rolling Stones complete Vinyl offered for the same price through the same ‘fake’ order site, with comments under the ad that people have not received their item. When I contacted Anna for shipping information, she provided a link to a tracking site that claims both items were delivered and left on the front porch. The items were not delivered. When investigated, the tracking/shipping information is fake. When challenged with this information, ‘Anna’ said there is nothing that she can do and I have to work with the post-office.
This is a scam that I should not have fallen for; but nevertheless, the site should be shut down so that other individuals are not scammed as I was.
