Scam Description
Northwest Motors, aka Northwest Motors JDM Arlington, TX is a fraud website for those interested in buying Japanese Direct Motors (JDM) from them. There is a legit North-West Motors in Sacramento, CA. The fraud website identifies a location in Arlington, TX at 630 112th St, Arlington, TX 76012 USA. This address is associated with Dallas JDM Motors, a legit company. When contacting NW JDM Arlington, they’ll send you information to send funds direct to a bank.
I called NWJDM, Arlington at the number on their website +1 (214) 937-4503, and a male with a foreign accent answered. Did not identify the company or himself. I had blocked my caller ID. I asked to purchase an engine. He said the price on the website was a web special and it would increase form $3,5550 to $5,000 the next day (pressure sale). I said no problem but wanted someone to inspect it and quoted the address on the website. He said he’ll have to call me back. He didn’t have my number to call me back. Never heard from him again.
I also called Dallas JDM and asked if they have any association with NW JDM which has their same address. They said it was a fraud website and to report to the BBB.
