Scam Description

I found an item for sale on kilpaa.com at a much lower price than any other website, so I ordered it on a Friday night at midnight. I received a confirmation number by email and searched my order on the kilpaa.com website, but the order could not be found, there was no information available. In addition, I noticed Chinese characters in the email header indicating that the emails were coming from China and not Chicago! I immediately contacted the seller and asked for tracking information and was told me my order would be shipped within 2-4 days. I started to be concerned so I decided to cancel the order on Saturday. I was told they would try to cancel the order and would contact me if they could not do so. Later in the day I received email saying they could not cancel the order because it had already shipped! Amazing! Their website states that they ship products Monday – Friday! I received an email on Sunday saying shipping would take 2 weeks and that the tracking number was included, but it actually wasn’t in the email, so I contacted them again. On Monday they gave me a tracking number and told me I could track it on www.16track.info. I tracked it and found the package. I decided to find out more about 16track but there is nothing about them on google.com. However, google.com showed there is another company called 17track.net. I went to their website and it looks almost completely identical to the 16track.info site. Both say they provide tracking logistics for all the same companies, so I tried tracking the package on 17track.net and could not find the package… no information about it at all. Obviously a scam is in play. I immediately contacted my credit card company on Saturday when I tried to cancel the order. They issued a provisional credit while they investigate my claim.
