Scam Description
I saw an ad for emeals through facebook and it took me to their website. Their website states the following under “how much does emeals cost: “A subscription to eMeals is as low as $4.99 a month for a 12-month subscription. You also have the option of a 3-month subscription for $35.99. Our customers tell us that they save an average of $2,000 a year on their food costs! But if you’re not sure whether eMeals is a good fit, you can try it FREE for 14 days to see for yourself!” There is ZERO other information. I didn’t check my bank for a while and I got one charge for 71.99 and another charge for 98.99. I tried to use their “live” chat feature and it is NOT live. It’s an automated system. I called their phone number and NO ONE ANSWERS. I called my bank and got reimbursed for the 71.00 but I have NOT been reimbursed for the 98.99. I was able to login and cancel my subscription. I complained on one for their newsfeed advertisements stating specifically what happened and they deleted my comments and blocked me from posting further. Other users claim they were also overcharged. Others say they are charged 59.99 up front and that is all. If that is the case they STILL owe me at LEAST $40 and that means there is $60 i gave them for ONE MEAL!! These guys are CROOKS. PLEASE look into them.
