Scam Description
We were trying to adopt a dog online. We were told the cost of the adoption fee and shipping was $850. Which we paid. Then the “shipping company” got ahold of us and told us that we needed to rent a temperature regulation crate for a refundable cost of $1550. We told them no, that the entire cost was to be included in the original price as stated on the website and per the email received from them reaffirming this. They refused to cover the cost of the “new required crate” or refund our money. The person we spoke to on the phone from the “breeder” and the “shipping company” was the same person. When on the phone I stated either ship the dog or return our money. I was told that neither would happen and was hung up on.
