Scam Description
Relative tried to rent a car from Ohio to Michigan( one way trip). The company Provident Car Rental (855)751-2589 advised my aunt to get a giftcard for $280 and they would come to the house to pick her up in 2022 rental vehicle.They advised her to call a different number (844)671-6424 after she purchased the gift card. Once my aunt provided them the information on the gift card, the gentleman stated that the billing department will confirm the payment and then someone would call us back. My aunt did not receive a call back and no one would answer the phone when she called them back. We called from a different phone number and someone pick up the phone and told us that gift card did not work so we would need to buy a different gift card for $280 in order for her to rent the vehicle.
