Scam Description

I saw an ad on Facebook using the JCPenney logo. So I placed an order from the ad on March 20, 2023 and my credit card was charged that day. I received a tracking number via email on April 20th. That number showed that the order had been delivered. It had not. I contacted the company, replying to the email, on 4/20/2023 to find out when I could expect to receive the order. The reply email from them stated that it had been delivered. The tracking number was attached to an envelope that I received, containing a cheap piece of costume jewelry. I had ordered bedding, clothing, and shoes. I spoke with my local postmaster on 4/20/2023. He verified that the envelope was what the company had sent. I contacted the company through email and received the following: https://www.track718.us/en. attached to “Dear customer, Thanks for your message. Hope you are great. We sent you the item out within 3 days after we received your payment The post may not update so prompt, usually it takes around 14-25 working days for shipping. You can calculate how many days your package will arrive based on the time you placed the order, thanks. Any question, please feel free to contact us again. Your understanding will be highly appreciated. Best regards~”. I requested a refund, (after calling my credit card company to refute the charges), and received the same email in response from the company. I wanted to report this Imposter of JCPenney.
