Scam Description
There is a group on Facebook called “Corgi for Adoption” that is run by people named “Chris Barnes” and “Peggy Herman.” They are clearly fake profiles and promptly ask you to send them a $150 deposit for a puppy on cashapp. The entire group is a scam, and I suspect that they pay people to post in the group to make it look real. They told my sister that they are located at 51 Clearview Drive in Penfield, NY, but they told me that they are located in Brighton, NY. I reported the group and the two profiles to Facebook, but they won’t be taken down because they “don’t violate Facebook Community Standards.”
