Scam Description
On Jan. 19, 2023 I clicked on their ad on FaceBook which took me to their web store at http://coatelite.com/. I was interested in purchasing a hand-held laser engraver they were offering for $49.99. I was able to complete the transaction the next day on the 20th. Later that evening, I realized that they had charged my debit card twice for $49.99, a total of $99.98. I disputed the second charge with my bank, and then went to their page again and my order was not there. Not even under ‘canceled orders’. I emailed them several times and no one responded until today. They said that my order was canceled and I would receive a refund within 7 days. They did not say how much the refund would be. When I called a Florida phone number I was provided, the number was ‘not in use’. Actually, I would like them to honor the order and just refund me the extra $49.99 that they over-charged me.
