Scam Description
Received a text message from someone who was trying to contact her supplier. funds. When I told her she had the wrong number. She apologized and wanted to continue chatting as a friend. When I agreed she wanted me to download the message app Whatsapp. Soon the conconversation turned to investing in crypto. After investing an initial $1000, i made a little money. Then was talked into investing more. I invested 50,000 and she invested 50,000 into my account. That still wasn’t enough, I quit my job and used my 401K to invest another 150,000, she also invested 150,000 at that time taking our portfolio to 500,000. After some trading my investment climbed to 994,200. When i tried to withdraw the money from the Empathy app I was notified from Empathy that I had to put a 30% deposit on a large withdrawal. The deposit fee is 297,000 dollars. My money is frozen in the Empathy app until I pay the deposit fee. After a week of not paying the deposit my account was penalized $200 a day until nothing is left and your account will be emptied and canceled.
