Scam Description
Scammer poses as friend on social media, offers a legitimate investment opportunity in crypto. Then asks for phone number. Starts friendly chat. Sends link and asks for personal info. “Signs you up” for what appears to be an amazing bitcoin investment. When you try to withdrawl they charge multiple fees. They use scare tactics and pretend to be helping while asking for bank info or any online source of funds. When you pay ransom to get money back, there is error and they want more money, when you try to contact support they suspend your account and refuse to offer any resolution other than pay them more money.
