Scam Description
I was recruited for a remote job to promote travel agency’s business. In the beginning the mentor said that I help them to earn revenue by promoting and optimizing journey data for travel companies. At the start the mentor said that I only have to complete a journey task and earn a salary of USD 150-350 per day. To begin the journey task i am given the 25% commission of the mentor as an account balance of my account. I am required to complete 50 journey tasks. However, as the tasks goes the account balance becomes insufficient and requires an amount for deposit. At first it was only minimal of USD 31 and the mentor said that I can withdraw the money after the task is conpleted. I already questioned this scheme because normally when we do a job we do not have to pay out money, we just offer the services to earn the money. But the mentor assured that I can get the money back and the commission I earned. I gave-in because the amount is minimal and I want to get the commission. But as the days go by and I perform the journey task, the insufficient amount gets bigger and I am forced to deposit because I cannot withdraw my earnings if I caanot complete the tasks. Inorder to complete I have to make-up for the negative balance. Until I have no more money because the negative balance becomes bigger and bigger. I have lost USD700 and did not gain anything.
