Scam Description
I’m the office manager at an orthodontic office in NYC and we got an email from “Bristol Safe Child” inviting us to participate in a program with a nearby school (Manhattan New School PS290). They said they would put our logo on the front of the safety kits for marketing purposes. We paid them to do this, and after payment was issued, there were a few back and forth emails, but then they stopped responding. We never received anything they promised. It’s been two months now.
When I looked further into the matter, I started to get concerned as I was reading articles on BBB about how scammers use these child safety kits to steal children’s identities. I reached out to the school, and one representative said they had not heard of this company that was supposedly partnering with the school. That’s why I wanted to reach out to the BBB directly.
