Scam Description
After posting furniture items on Facebook Marketplace, I received a Messenger post from “Sarah Davies”. The texter sent me a phone number so that we could set up a time to pick up the items. I tried calling the phone number provided, but got no response. Then the texter stated “she” wanted to send me a Google Verification Code to ensure I was a real person. Not knowing, I sent the code back to her. Then I realized something was off. I stopped communicating with the scammer.
