Scam Description

I first had Ennovo Windows and Doors LLC, owned by Yehoshua “Josh” Esquivel, install a couple of sliding glass doors over a year ago. The business name search can be done on the State of California website at: bizfileonline.sos.ca.gov…. At first, it took a while for him to show up to do the work. That should have been a red flag. Fast forward to April 23, 2023, I had him give me a quote for two more doors. I did not bother to read the Yelp reviews, I should have. The contract I signed required a $2000 deposit. The contract stated a 3-4 week lead time. This was not true. Josh always had a reason for the delay, such as no raw materials to build the doors. Last week he finally told me he would show up. He did not. I texted him and asked him what happened. He did not respond and basically ignored two other emails I sent to him and his wife, who is his business partner.
I noticed on Yelp that there are others who made a deposit and probably lost their money. I have just filed an online complaint with the California Attorney General. The website is oag.ca.gov/consumers
As complaints increase, they will need to be investigated by the Attorney General’s office.
I am currently in the process of filing a lawsuit in San Diego Small Claims Court. In addition to requesting my deposit, I will be requesting a refund of all filing fees. I will also be contacting Consumer Affairs and the BBB.
Here is a business review site where you can add reviews: bizapedia.com/ca/ennovo-…. Trustpilot is another business review site.
