Scam Description

101 Locksmith in Los Angeles, CA claims to have no owner, manager or supervisor when asked. I found the website online as local to Los Angeles and called for my basic home door in an apartment building to be opened. I asked for a quote and they didn’t give me one. The sent some one anyways with out finishing the conversation of a price quote. The man came and crowbarred the door open damaging the hinge of the door. After I told him to stop “I don’t mind paying for your troubles and the gas.“ But I can not have the door or hinge damaged. He did not and said don’t worry and kept going. The man demanded I pay him $200 on the spot and said there is no debit/credit card portal. I asked for an invoice after in which I received it over a text message stating a new lock replacement that did not occur. The man crowbarred my door open.
When I attempt to speak to someone at the company I was harassed for hours over text message as to how I am a liar. I attempted to resolve the issue over the phone the day it happened 9/11/2022 since my property manager told me that the hinge of the door is damaged. The company continued to hang up on me the moment I mentioned my name, address or claims they sent a subcontractor proceeding to hung up in my face numerous times. I had given up so my property manager called to resolved the issue in which when the address was mentions he was hung up on as-well immediately.
I have photos my landlord sent me this morning to prove the complaint. I called again this morning 9/12/2022. However they have my phone number, name and address on a list that all of their representatives hang up immediately on any one calling in regard to the issue. Including the property manager and owner of the building.
I looked up the Yelp reviews after the interaction and found numerous people particularly the elderly where bullied to give cash to an obscure person through this company.
