Scam Description
The mailed letter contained a form 4022 that appeared legitimate. The error made by the scammer was setting the payment deadline for 2/23/2024, whereas the government document had to be filed prior to 1/1/2025 and would be free of charge. For the newly formed businesses which registered after 1/1/2024, the deadliane was given up to 90 days.
