Scam Description
I applied on Indeed for a job position (Data Entry Representative). A lady named Meagan Wilson texted me with a job offer for an interview. She asked for me to get into contact with her supervisor Gokmen Topuz by telegram. I did and after interview, I received the “job”. They sent me all the paperwork to send to them for the job position. It was a paper for acceptance of a job and others like filling out a w-4 like any other job. They then sent me in the mail a check for over $3,000 so I could deposit it in my account and send them a bank receipt and the receipt of all the purchases for the job. My bank looked into the check and notified me today that it was a fraudulent check. They did this because I was supposed to use my money first then I was supposed to deposit that check and inform the “company” that it was deposited in a bank account so they could wipe my account clean. So now these people have all my information including my social security number.
