Scam Description
I was contacted by a company called Groovy USA asking if I wanted to be employed as a package handler. The idea was to be a third party receiving packages, make sure product remained undamaged and then sending it through the mail with either the post office, UPS and/or FEDEX to the customer. They provided PDFs and a dashboard with login information to track and print labels for the packages. I was told I was to be paid $2800 for working from home receiving packages and after 30 days of being under the impression that I was employed, I contacted my supervisors for Information about my pay and soon discovered it was a scam. I had been permanently logged out of the dashboard and have remained unpaid and have not been able to contact anyone. All of this has really hurt my livelihood. They have my first and last name and also the address where I live.
