Scam Description

I was applying for jobs through linked in, I usually do a thorough check of the company. Originally it seemed as though the information checked out online. However none of the contacts that reached out to me through email seemed to be associated with the supposed company. Originally I was contacted by someone by the name of Shelly Botner a hiring recruiter who posted the job posting. She let me know that she read my qualifications and would like me to email their HR department. I did and was taken through a whole process of answering questions about my experience etc. then I was offered the position but was given a funky looking acceptance letter. I started fact checking the numbers and names and nothing came up in association to the “company”.. so I called the number to ask for more information and was given the run around. I spoke to a man who could barely articulate himself and claimed he was Ted White… when looking this up it shows Ted White as the owner of the company.. who I would imagine wouldn’t be so easily accessible and also would provide a well put explanation of the company and their business practices. I tried to go back to the linkedin page I was messaged from and who posted the job application, but it was taken down. I am happy I caught this as I know they would be asking for more personal information other than my phone number and previous work contacts. I am hoping this situation is resolved before someone else is taken advantage of.
