Scam Description
I was told by text to contact another person using the Telegram app for a job opportunity. It didn’t sit well, but I decided to reach out since I already had the app. The person did the whole interview by IM, it sounded fishy. I had to use okay instead of OK. seemed like a bot, and also seemed pushy. At end of interview, offered me a job and told me I would get a check to buy office equipment, to take to my bank and buy through their vendor. I looked up job scams and this fit right along with it. I did give my name and email, they have sent an email with W2’s etc to fill out, and have been trying to contact my on telegram this morning. This “interview” happened yesterday.
