Scam Description

I was told I was being offered a work from home job and needed to fill out my new employee hire paperwork. It was a form sent in a link. Once you fill out the form which includes your Social Security number along with a picture of a photo ID, the site reveals itself to be a survey site. They then ask for verification through ID.me. They ask for you to verify your email and phone number. The IRS page popped up on ID.me and that’s when I figured out they were trying to steal my information to either file taxes on me or file unemployment. I did not verify my phone number and I reported it as fraud on the website. When I responded back to them letting them know I was reporting them for fraud, I was blocked.
