Scam Description
I received this text, “Good morning! I’m Jessica Taylor from PSC S.r.l. Engineering & Contracting LTD. I’m currently reaching out to you in regards to your resume approved for the Remote Data Entry Clerk/Administrative Assistant position with a pay rate of $35.00/hr. Reply once you get this so an interview can be scheduled. Thank you!”
Then another one,
“Following the newest online screening introduced by The Bureau of Global Human Resources, you are required to setup Signal App to your mobile device on https://signal.org/install/. Then add the HR manager Mrs. Natasha Bowers, on Signal messenger App using this Number (713) 635-9335 and send a message to commence the online interview/briefing and comprehensive job details ASAP, Thank you!”
After setting up the app I heard nothing for days. I followed up with them then received a text the next day at 4:30 in the morning asking if I set up signal messenger. I knew something was off so I googled the number and saw others had a similar story. My phone alerted me that my contact Natasha Bowers is on Snapchat, but the avatar shows a man, not a woman. They may have gotten my number through zip recruiter so be careful.
