Scam Description
I am currently job hunting and have posted my resume on several career websites (e.g. Indeed, Career Builder, Monster, etc.). Remote jobs seem to be a trend right now along with the scams, but I have been trying to keep an open mind to it and research each company and person so I do not become a victum. I received a text message this morning at 6:27am CST stating, “Good Morning! I’m Jessica Taylor from PSC S.r.l. Engineering & Contracting LTD. I’m currently reaching out to you in regards to your resume approved for the Remote Data Entry Clerk/Administrative Assistant position with a pay rate of $35.00/hr. Reply once you get this so an interview can be scheduled. Thank you!”
I entered the company and contact’s name into my search engine and the BBB Scam Tracker was the first result. I was saddened to hear how far along the previous person went through with this scam, and am tremendously grateful she posted her experience. There are too many genuine people getting taken advantage of by scammers like this one. I wish something more could be done.
