Scam Description
A recent graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy recently submitted for a paid job opportunity with NYC Petite Models for work at the NY Auto Show. She provided her email, headshot and resume and was invited for an appointment. During the appointment, a woman met with her and showed her a fake website/ pictures of her “models” and tried to get her to pay $395 for a photo shoot to “create a portfolio” so she could start working for the company. She even started to take her to an ATM so she could take out money for a deposit.
Several other graduates had similar experiences.
