Scam Description
Avoid Calfford! They appear to be a scam.
Calfford approached about a job as a “supply handler.” The guy who initiated the contact is Daniel Wilson, through email and it included the job link, and then called for a phone interview. The company has a website, email addresses, and PDF documentation. It claims to be a 3rd party shipping company and has an elaborate “job description,” W-9 form, Employment Agreement, policies, procedures, compensation, and others. It’s a remote, work-from-home job where the “supply handler” receives shipments and resends them. The hours are 9 to 5 local time with a 30-day probation period; then, the company extends full-time employment after its successful completion. The person communicates with their supervisor through an encrypted CRM.
Things began to look suspicious and felt not right– the formality, the limited transparency. I did research online and this turned out to resemble what identical scams are. They trick people into these employment scams and sharing their SSN. Avoid this “company” and be alert to their tactics.
