Scam Description

I applied for jobs on indeed. I was looking for an at home job. I received an email from NCO that they were impressed with my resume and wanted to interview me. I had to download zoom. Answered all of the questions he asked. (Seemed all legit) explained what the company was and the hourly wage. I was “hired” the next morning. He sent me the I-9 form and W4 form threw email and I would be starting as soon as I submitted the paperwork back. The company would be supplying the equipment I needed for the job. I’d be getting paid bi-weekly at $32 an hour after my 2 weeks of training at $16.00 an hour. He then said I’d need to pay $165 for the equipment to be shipped out. I’d be refunded on Tuesday. He sent me a “check”. My name, address ect was all correct. However the amount on the check did not! I called him out on it and “we have a lot of employees I’m so sorry I’ll fix this right now”. (B.s! Your not doing payroll at 11 pm on a Friday night) he is now still contacting me and prompting me to go ahead and submit payment. I have the entire conversation from the very first message and the screenshots of the “checks” he sent me
