Scam Description
I applied for a remote Exec. Asst. position. I heard back from the company via email. The emails seemed a little off but I continued. Even had a phone interview. Again a little off. Then they said they were sending me a check and I was to keep the amount of my first week’s pay and then pay the compter vendor with the remaining amount so I could get set up with their system. Just seems very odd to me so I told them I was no longer interested in the position. I tore the check up that had sent me. Never heard back from them after that.
