Scam Description
I was approached with a potential job offer from an Audrey Cerra – Recruiter in Partnership with Experis at Manpower Group, through the job site LinkedIn. She described a viable job working from home. Our communication method was solely through LinkedIn message board. Went through the application process and disclosed personal information to her and did pay money ($188) for “equipment required for job” through cash app to a Brian Belczak ($AddingUp**) Upon completion of payment, I was being circumvented when I asked when I would receive equipment. Instead I was being asked by this Audrey Cerra to sign up for IDme and to send her my EIN # from my W2 tax forms for employment payment purposes. At that point I refused to send her anymore information and asked for a full refund of my money. Once I declined, she deleted her profile on LinkedIn. My friend also fell victim to this scam and unfortunately for him, they ended up filing his tax return with the information they acquired from him. I wouldn’t want anyone else to fall victim to these people posing as potential employers offering jobs to job seeker truly interested. I hope that something can be done to resolve this. Attached is profile on this Audrey Cerra person.
