Scam Description
I was contacted by Monica Wayne who said she worked for Micron Biomedical, Inc and they had gotten my resume for a position I had applied for as a Remote Data Entry Associate. They asked me to download an app called Telegram, which I should have taken as a red flag. Once I was contacted through that app everything went pretty smoothly. They asked pretty normal interview questions and would have gotten me if I hadn’t talked to my family. I had cashed a check they emailed me(another red flag), but when they tried to gain my confidence back when I asked questions about a scam, they put the cashier check on hold. I reached out to the company in an email that I got through their website and when I mentioned this to the person I was in contact with, asking for them to reply to that email to prove to me this was real, that was when they pulled back and away, saying they were going to go with someone else. They were posing as someone named Mandy Allen on Telegram. the conversation that was being had is completely gone now as well as that account has been deleted. Keep an eye out.
