Scam Description
This scammer sent me an email regarding employment. I’m unemployed and apply to a lot of jobs. They said they were a company based in Hong Kong so that threw up red flags. So I applied and they asked for my address in the application which I thought was odd but not unheard of. The interview process was standard besides the fact they were asking questions about being offered a supervisor position when the job was for an admin. After they said I was hired was when it got very odd. They requested a valid ID on a white background. (Which I assume it’s so they can easily Photoshop) when I sent an email back saying I’m researching, they sent me two more emails giving a sense of urgency. I found out in my research they are a scammer, all their names end in smith. And in training they ask for things like cash app information. I didn’t provide any documents to them or ssn . If you’re looking for work don’t fall for these low lifes .
