Scam Description
I was contacted via email about a job. I was interviewed over the computer and was told that I was hired as a Senior Administrative Assistant. I was to receive paid training and since it was a remote position, I would receive all necessary equipment from the company at their expense. They sent me a check, which I deposited into my bank. The next day (today 9/22/22), I was told to withdraw the money in cash, send a picture of the cash to bostonconsultinggroupinc@gmail.com, place the cash in an envelop, got to UPS and mail the cash to an individual at a residential address. I did all that was asked except for mailing the cash. Because this was for a job I did give out personal info for the taxes. I was informed at UPS that this is probably a scam and to wait until their check cleared but either way not to send cash. I have informed the people at BCG (or whomever this is) that I will send a cashiers check to them once their check has cleared my bank. The man on Skype became very angry and began calling me through Skype. I have terminated all contact. I have attached a printout of the conversation on Skype between myself and BGC Hiring dept.
