Scam Description
On 9/21/22 via Linkedin.com, I received a resume inquiry from someone claiming to be from William Larry Law Firm for a Virtual Assistant position. After some conversation, on 9/22/22, the individual requested that I deposit a check in the amount of $3,950 for “equipment, printer, and first weeks pay” that would be mailed to my address. The position listed on LinkedIn offered to pay $60/ hr or $720 a week for 3-4 hours of work each day for 4 days. I have since declined the position. The profile has been deleted from LinkedIn, possibly because it is a scam. I have attached the email and other information I received.
