Scam Description
I have been getting harassed by some woman with an indian accent that keeps referring to me as Mr. Allison Longcrier and says there has been a complaint launched against me and that I need to contact them at 844-241-2896. They are calling at least 6 different people over and over and over. Two of them are not even in MY circle, so I have NO idea how they even got their number. So I called, and they tried to force me to give them MY information (date of birth) over the phone. I tried asking who they were and what it was about. She said I can’t tell you anything till we verify it is you. I said I’m not giving you ANY information till I know WHO you are. She said we are a company and our corporate offices are in California and you can verify we are a business on their Secretary of State website. so I tried to go and couldn’t find it so I called again. They hung up on me, when I kept asking questions. I tried to call again and finally got to the business search but when I tried to request their certificate it says access is denied. The info there says that they were formed in Delaware, but that doesn’t make sense. Why is your corporate office in California if you were formed in Delaware? I explained that someone was calling all over the place and leaving messages and she said no they aren’t and I said actually YES they are, she raised her voice and told me that NO ONE was calling anyone, and I said excuse me? I have a voicemail from my sister’s best friend in College Station, I have proof you’ve been calling me and others about me. She said I can’t tell you anything until I verify it’s you and I said I’m not giving ANY of my information over the phone to someone I don’t know, who is literally being rude and ugly to me when all I want to do is understand what it is you people want with me? Or WHO you even are? They wouldn’t even provide me with a website or anything. I was like, I don’t understand, you are based in California but something was filed in Tarrant County? This is our corporate office, the lady that called you is a third party based in Texas. I said so, something was filed here against me and the supposed lawyer is there? No you have a complaint filed against you, I said there? No in Tarrant County, so why are you calling me from California? She said our third party we outsource so it was them calling you to serve, and I said ok well they have been harassing ME and others so how do we get them to STOP. She said there was some kind of process server trying to get in contact and I was like process server for what? What is this? I don’t understand? Who are you people. We employ lawyers and there’s a file against you in Tarrant County. Where in Tarrant county? What are you talking about? I don’t understand why you feel you need my date of birth? Who are you people? She ended up hanging up on me, when I kept asking questions, so I called back again. Asked to speak to someone in charge. She said that’s me and I’ve helped you as much as I can until you give me your date of birth. I said I don’t understand why you can’t even tell me WHAT you want from me? None of this makes sense you realize you people sound like nothing but a scam right? She said no we aren’t but I’m terminating this call and hung up on me again. They did NOT like me asking questions or trying to verify who and what they were. She was trying so hard to intimidate me and I just kept asking questions. She said you will have received papers via certified mail and I said I haven’t received anything, I have no idea what you are talking about. Who are you? What do you want? I am terminating this call since you won’t give me your date of birth and hung up. I looked up the company info and it ALL seems very shady. Supposedly, they are owned by Carl Jacob Winters and that’s as far as I got. They are registered in Delaware but I couldn’t see if they were in “good” standing or not.
