Scam Description
This seems to be an organization that allegedly advertised hair products over the internet. I got a call from them today (9.26.22) stating I owed them payment for three shipments of hair products: January 2020, August 2020, and January 2021. They stated that if I didn’t pay for these shipments, they would not close my account, would escalate my charges to collections, and that I would continue to be charged and receive shipments. I don’t remember ever having signed up for this product, or ever receiving it, but they stated I paid for shipping charges and agreed to their terms and conditions. Afterwards, I reviewed my credit history with my credit card company, and no shipping charges from this vendor ever appeared on my credit card statement. I haven’t lived at the shipping address since June 2020 and was never informed I had received a package after moving. I asked why this company waited for so long to seek payment from me given the dates of the shipments, and why they continued to ship without receiving payment. They replied that they could not collect payment during the pandemic due to laws against debt collection.
