Scam Description
I received 2 duplicate letters in the mail created 2 days apart attempting to scare me into paying 5k with barely any justification. My name was spelled wrong on the letter. The letter described that I was negligent in an auto accident and this was my final notice before serious action was taken. It took us almost a week to reach the person responsible for the letter. They gave little information other than the car involved and the date in which the accident occured which I obviously wasn’t involved in. The person on the phone didn’t seem suprised that they had the wrong person and I have to wonder if every person in America with my name recieved one of these fishing letters.
