Scam Description

Looked up the phone number of Aer Lingus (Irish Airlines) and saw the phone number and assumed I was dealing with a rep from the airlines and this was confirmed by the person answering the phone. I was attempting to upgrade 2 return seats. Information about existing flights and seats as well as my visa and copy of my driver’s licence was provided as requested. Visa was processed but the upgraded seats were not obtained or even requested of the airlines. When questioned the same day I was advised that my request was in process. Another person, the manager reconfirmed that my request was being processed the next day. When I requested a refund, I was referred to their Refund Dept who confirmed the Visa would be refunded. I have these peoples’ names which are likely fake. When asked, Aer Lingus confirmed that they never heard of Travel Reconnect. Their web site indicates that they are a member of ASTA (American Society of Travel Agencies). ASTA has indicated that Travel Reconnect are not members.
