Scam Description
An individual named “Eric” contacted me claiming to be a representative of Allstate and requested information about my address and phone number to “take pictures of the residence for a new homeowners insurance policy.” Eric provided me with incorrect information and routinely requested I provide him with updated address and personal information. I contacted Allstate and they had no record of this person being assigned to this policy nor any record of him being an Allstate representative. I asked for Eric’s NTID number, and he refused to provide this information or any corroborating information intended to verify his identity. He became rude with me via text, referring to me as “bud,” and threatened that my Allstate policy would be canceled. Allstate advised me to block his number and was made aware of this situation.
