Scam Description
Was texted from “Santander” asking if I made a purchase in Tennessee
Then they called me from 877-768-2265. Which is in fact. Santander’s customer service number (which I researched before giving any info)
I was fooled and Santander stated that scammers can mask their phone number to look like theirs. Here is the problem. I called the number I was called from (the scammer) and it sends me to Santander’s customer service number. This is all very strange and wasn’t not handled as critical as I assumed it to be. Santander is currently investigating
