Scam Description

TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT I had placed several items on Facebook market place for sale. I received offers on 2 of the items and they wanted to Pay by Zelle. I generally require cash at time of pickup but they were insisted, so I decided to set up a Zelle account. When I couldn’t get it to work I called Zelle help number (805-622-4909) and talked to a man by the name of Steven Bine ID #ZEL771. He was very convincing that he was helping me get things straightened out and in the process to check out the system (when he needed me to call him back on his direct line (845-690-3501 ext. 898) he had me send money to a couple of people I know, and they were to send it back to me which seemed like a good idea the amounts of 2500. and 1400. they received the money and then send it back to me. but at some point he managed to intercept it and it never came back to my bank.
I didn’t catch on about the telephone number he had me change to was probably outside of Zelle, and he was taking my information and will probably cause me more trouble in the future.
I am not a young person and to lose this money will be a hardship for me
