Scam Description
I am trying to refinance my house. A lady called on the phone saying they had a V.A. program we could do. she connected me with Joseph Anthony. we talked. I gave him my info. when he said I was approved he said to send a check for $1`500 for appraisal and other fees and assured me it would be refunded if the refinance didn’t go through. we kept in touch. on Thursday august 31st he said he was waiting for final paperwork, and we would finalize everything. I haven’t heard from him since. i have called and nothing.
