Scam Description

I tried to take out a loan online by searching for Loans for Bad Credit. I then received a text message and a link that said, “We have Personal loans for 3000 – 8000 between $96 – $208 monthly payments”. I call the number and they say they worked for Advance America and the website is advanceamerica.net. They run my credit report, and the Head Advisor Mr. Jacky says your credit is low, so they’re going to approve they loan amount anyways. But, the only way was to do a “Credit Boost” through my bank because they work with these banks to approve the loans and it will boost my credit. I asked, “What is a Credit Boost”? Mr. Jacky says, we just file an inquiry with your Creditors, and you pay money to us back in a timely “ASAP” manner, then your credit will start to boost to this percentage, so we can do the loan. I didn’t think nothing of it, because if there’s a thing called a Credit Boost that will boost my credit instantly…Why not! So, he asks for my username and password, because he had to ask about inquiries on my Creditors. I gave it to him and he’ll call me back when the funds were available. Well, he then calls back and said the money is there. Now, go to Walmart and we’ll send you a barcode, and you go and scan your bank card for this amount. After that is done send me back the pictures of the receipts. So, after I did that. He calls back and says when the funds are verified we’ll call you back. So, after the transaction my Bank calls, and asks did I take some Claims out on these accounts. I was confused so I told them to send me the Claims, so I know what they were talking about. They emailed me the claims. And I had no idea what they were, so I called Mr. Jacky and he said send him the forms and he’ll take care of them. So, a little later he calls back and says your score boosted 20 points. I got excited. But, he says, we need to boost it some more because it was still too low for the loan. So, we continue with the same process for the next several transactions. Then on the next week, I started to see a fallout because I get a call from my landlord saying, “The bank revoked two months of rent.” I said, “What”?!?! The landlords said, Yeah! I then told them I was taking out a loan, and that I was part of a Credit Boost program through my bank, and they were only doing a inquiry of Credit not a revoke, and they were helping me boost it so I can raise my credit for the loan. They weren’t having it. So, I told them let me call you back to find out what’s happening. I then call in a panic back to Mr. Jacky and tells him that my landlord that my rent money got revoked. He then says, no it’s just an inquiry and everything will be fine by Wednesday. He says, give me your landlord’s number and I’ll explain the process. I call my landlord back and they said they will have it fixed by Wednesday. Mr. Jacky calls back and said the next funds are available and to go to Walmart and we’ll send you the barcode. So, we keep doing this again and again. Thursday comes up and my landlord calls back and said Hey, we still haven’t received a call and now you’re in eviction protocol. I was already stressed out. So, now I’m stressed because I’m on the verge of being on the street. I call Mr. Jacky back and he tells me to calm down because we’re nearing the finish line. I asked when? He says, by Monday. I said it better be because I can’t take no more! My landlord isn’t waiting and wants to put me out on the street. So, Monday comes back around again and I start getting more Creditors calling and emailing me that their money was getting revoked. My stress level is now in another universe at this point. I then started looking into why this was happening. So, I called the bank asked did they do a Credit Boost. They never heard of it. I called the company that they allegedly represented, and they said that’s not one of their practices. If you’re denied, you’re denied. So, I looked a my transaction list because now I started seeing my Car insurance, health, and other things being reversed. So, now know where and how they were getting the money. They were taking Claims with my bank out on all my Creditors and doing reversals of Credit so it would go back into my account, and I would then send them the money. They would then say, they sent me the money but in actuality it was my money anyways that was paid over a period of time. So, I went to the bank and told them what was happening, and got them to reverse all the claims that they could and send the money back to the Creditors, changed my user and password, and got on their fraud/scammed list. Mr. Jacky calls back and asks did I change my user and password, and I said yes! He then explains that I can’t put the money in your account because of that. I tell him I know everything now and I can’t do it anymore. He says, what are you going to run off with my money. I said, I have no money in there and that you already have it. In fact, it was mine to begin with not yours. Mr. Jacky starts to get angry and tells me that he promised me that all my Creditors are getting their money back and to let him get access to do it but had to do another run to Walmart. I asked, how much and with what Creditors? He tells me how much and with whom, and I said, Nope! I’m done. He then goes on and says I’m going to get the loan. I told him to keep the loan. There’s no point in it now when I’ve been cheated out of thousandsssssssss of dollars, and the amount that I was going for wouldn’t even help now. So, nope you’re not going to get access. Mr. Jacky then says were going to take legal action if we don’t get access because it’s our money. No, it’s MY money and you’ve already done A LOT of damage. Then he says he’ll call me in the morning to get the money. BLOCKED! All he was going to do was file more Claims and do more damage. So, I hope this helps someone out there who’s in need of money with bad credit online or through your phone. This was a VERY STRESSFUL ordeal, and I hope my experience will help you in your desperation to get money to pay the bills and keep a roof over your head. If looks to good to be true, then it is! Also, I did manage to avoid getting evicted and reimbursing my landlord the rent they took.
