Scam Description
They were consistent in their phone calls claiming they were a private lending company. High pressure to provide personal financial and identifying information. Repeadily claimed to be more knowledgeable then an actual lending officer and up on lending laws. ( NOT) kept asking for banking info to link corporate account to my personal accounts to verify my identity. Explaining it was for their protection so I could not run off with their money. I repeadily asked for the registered trade mark name and DBA corporation name registered with the SOS of Illinois as I was not able to locate them in the BBB website. Their website at best generic and fake. He constantly called me idiot and uneducated that I didn’t know how to operate a browser. They wanted me to purchase Office Max checks that I could print on my home printer then cash it at my bank asap. They were very specific on the check style and brand. Once I purchased the checks call back and they would send a link to print my loan check. I knew it was a scam but tied them up for over an hour on the phone until he called me profanity and hung up. They already had a lot of my personal info which was scary
