Scam Description
I was contacted by an alleged Alex Brown. He claimed that I could get a $5000 loan from Lending Club. Had me sign loan agreement, send routing and account information where the loan would be deposited (my Chime account), my id information and instructed me to purchase a Walmart debit card, put $245 on it for insurance purposes and then get back to him with the debit card info. I suspected fraud at this point. I spoke with a real Lending Club worker and was told this was definately a scam and to inform the Better Business Bureau immediately.
