They contacted me by message after filling out my job search information on the mwejobs.maryland.gov portal. they make an offer job and conduct via signal app a fake interview, then send some emails to verify a commitment with the offer. They asked me to fill out information on the i9 and W4 form to hire. Then they sent me a check in the amount of. $4,982.23 to purchase work equipment. My bank notified me that it was fraud.
