Scam Description
I called capitalOne to check on my credit card and the robot said I had some fraud on my card so they connected me to the fraud dept, but then they tell me I had to give them my full social security number so that alone made me feel something was wrong so I said you mean the last four numbers of my social security number and he said no I need your whole # not just the 4 last number and then he told me that there wasn’t a contact nuimber for me on my card and I know that I’ve always use my land line number on all my charge cards so I hung up the phone cause he was persistent on both so I gave him my land line number but he wanted my cell # so he could give me a text and thats when I hung up the phone so now what I’m saying why is capitalOne asking for the full social security number and for them to say there is no number on my application thats not so. so now I worried about this with all of my charge cards with capitolOne ? would someone please contact me about this problem. sooner than later .
