Scam Description
I recently made 3 separate purchases on the Etsy website from an entity calling itself TayJay Cards, with contact information based out of Waterloo Iowa.
The products were advertised as football cards with autographs, and the 3 specific products in question were a Patrick Mahomes autographed football card, and the other 2 were Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, and Justin Herbert of the LA Chargers.
The descriptions were just detailed enough to make it seem like a legitimate product, but upon receiving the items, it is clear that these are forgeries.
There was a certificate of authenticity provided with the card, which deceived me into thinking these were actually real, but the fine print on the COA indicates that the signature “matches what the authentic signature would look like” and is not actually an autograph. I would have no reason to buy something if it is not legit. This appears to be a fairly serious case of deception and fraud, and I would like at the very least for this seller to have to update their website and make it plain as day obvious that these signatures do not come from the name listed. They are replicas, and completely worthless.
I will work through Etsy and the seller to get my money back, but this company needs to stop this practice ASAP.
The seller doesn’t have direct email or phone on the etsy website, so I currently do not have accurate information for that.
