Scam Description

Someone named La”Keeta Barrington texted me this morning and discussed a data entry job for a company named Fidelis Insurance Group. The person told me the Hiring Manager named Sylvia Lenzen would like to interview me on Zoom. Once I arrived on Zoom, it wasn’t a video interview but a chat interview. Sylvia Lenzen began to discuss the company background and even had a website I could go to learn more about the company. I was asked legit interview questions, through chat and told of job duties and responsibilites. I got suspicious when she told me the company would be sending me a check to cover all the materials I would need for the job. I was only asked for general information you would find on my resume: name, address, city, state, and phone number. When I began to research the company a little more, I noticed the founding year of the company was off. IT states that the company has been in business for over 30 years but you were founded in 2022?! The company is also based in Bermunda, United Kingdom and Ireland. It also seems like a lot of copy and paste info.
