Scam Description
Email received to complete a survey for Amazon and I will get a free camera door bell. Once survey is completed it asked for shipping information and to pay just the shipping cost to receive the item. Once my credit card information was obtained I was charged for the shipping and handling fee of $5.96. A couple of days later there was a second charge for
$63.71 posted on my account. I called the number listed on my bank account for the charge, a Customer Support line. The representative Anna stated when I submiited payment for the required shipping fee, under the terms I agreed to a subscription and that was the charge Iisted on my bank account. I explained there was no terms and conditions and requested for my money to be reimbursed, she stated she couldn’t do that, however, she can cancel the subscription so that I won’t continue to be billed. This very upsetting these companies who somehow are able to get your email address and even your phone number to send these tupe of scam messages and get your money. Something needs to be done about these scammers!
